The people’s disaster risk reduction network, Inc.
(formerly the Pampanga Disaster Response Network
or PDRRN), was initially organized in May 1991. Its
actual operations commenced right after the June 15,
1991 destructive eruption of Mount Pinatubo. It was
then engaged, primarily in field monitoring, data
gathering, food and non-food relief operations, and
evacuation center management.
